Trapan Terra Mare Teran 2011 (Organic), Croatia
An indigenous varietal related to the Italian Refosco, this wine expresses the terroir of red soil from Istria. Aromas of cinnamon and fresh blackcurrants complement undertones of baking spices, sweet herbs and stoney minerality. Moderate tannins and medium body make this wine surprisingly refreshing while showing good structure from its one year aging on French barrique. Limited edition of 3,000 bottles only
