VITICULTURE: ORGANIC FARMING
Established in 1998 by Jean Rijckaert, after he parted from Verget - a negociant business set up in
Macon with Jean-Marie Guffens. Following through with his passion of the region and of the Savagnin
grape, he acquired 5 ha in Jura and was soon joined by a talented student: Florent Rouve who
later became his managing director. They produce a special series of typical whites, for our pleasure,
under the label Tessieux Rouve Terrier. Florent produces organically and as naturally as possible. His
beautiful, intense cuvees are obtained thanks to very low yields, careful manual harvest, usage of
indigenous yeasts, long ageing in oak barrels with the least intervention possible to favour acidity
and the true expression of grape and terroir.
